As a Truck Driver at Ryerson, you will be responsible for safely operate a commercial motor vehicle to deliver material to customers.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Load and unload trucks as required
  • Deliver metal of all shapes / sizes to customers
  • Pickup necessary material from customer jobsite
  • Make vendor pick-ups as necessary
  • Maintain safe operation of company vehicle as outlined by the FMCSA
  • Verify final packaging of material per customer specification
  • Maximum productivity during job task
  • Operating an overhead crane to move material as needed
  • Operating a forklift to move material as needed
  • Carrying/moving supplies as needed
  • All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Requirements
  • High Schol diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years flatbed driving experience
  • Unexpired Class A CDL truck driver's license required
  • Must possess clean driving record
  • Valid FMCSA medical card
  • Experience making customer deliveries and pick-ups
  • Industrial warehouse experience preferred
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Physical ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility
