Job description


A cocktail server is responsible for walking the casino floor and take requests for beverages. Providing beverages to guests while maintaining exceptional guest service.
Responsibilities
  • Give prompt, pleasant, courteous and efficient service.
  • Always utilize alcohol awareness training while acknowledging all guests with a prompt and friendly greeting
  • Anticipate all guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
  • Verify legal drinking age of guests.
  • Complete all side work duties and ensure work area is prepared for succeeding shift.
  • Offer a unique service while sustaining a level of professionalism that encourages guests to return.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • Prior serving experience required.
  • Must be able to obtain & maintain an active Illinois Gaming License.
  • Must have alcohol awareness training and be certified.
  • Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk during shifts.
  • Must be able to move around in small spaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Requires bending, stooping pushing, kneeling, and reaching overhead.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle money and make correct change utilizing a POS system.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing dust, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.
  • Must always present a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Always display a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Capacity to work well with others and handle stressful situations with ease.
  • Possess effective learning skills.
  • Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period.

Salary Range: $9.00 per hour + tips
