Summary

Job Summary:
The Public Affairs and Communications X is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and dynamic individual to join our team as our Community Engagement and Communications Specialist. This is a newly created role reporting to the Public Affairs and Communications X and is responsible for developing and implementing community engagement strategies and communication campaigns, supporting the team’s mission of championing and safeguarding ABARTA Coca-Cola Beverages reputation, brands, and people.

Position Summary:

The Community Engagement and Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance the organization’s public image and build strong relationships with key external stakeholders, focused primarily on our nonprofit community partners. This role involves working closely across the organization and crafting communication strategies and managing public relations campaigns.

Responsibilities
  • Leads community engagement, public affairs support, social impact, and communications initiatives aligned with company priorities.
  • Develops and manages nonprofit partnerships, volunteer programs, community activations, cause-marketing efforts, and impact reporting.
  • Owns internal communications, including newsletters, leadership updates, company announcements, HR communications, recognition, and branded materials.
  • Manages external communications, including social media, website content, recruitment marketing, and digital campaign performance.
  • Supports sustainability, legislative, public affairs, and high-profile community initiatives with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develops press releases, statements, talking points, announcements, and other media materials while ensuring consistent messaging and brand standards.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of experience in public affairs, communications, marketing, community engagement, sales, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital communication tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with or for nonprofit organizations, community partners, or civic organizations.
  • Experience developing public affairs, community engagement, or social impact strategies.
  • Strategic selling, marketing, recruitment marketing, or marketing experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant issues and trends affecting the beverage industry, sustainability, community impact, and public affairs.
  • Experience preparing media materials, executive briefings, reports, or public-facing communications.

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid - Office-based role with occasional travel required for meetings, events, stakeholder engagement, and community activations.
  • Flexible work hours as needed to participate in public affairs activities, community events, media needs, and company initiatives.
