Job description

Job Description Summary:
At The Coca-Cola Company, we aim to refresh the world and make a difference through innovation, bold partnerships, and consistently flawless execution. Albertsons is one of our most strategic retail partners, and the Senior Manager, Sales - Albertsons plays a critical role in ensuring visibility and performance across multiple high-impact growth platforms. From dispensed beverages and fuel programs to in-store space and activation, this role connects strategy to execution across Coca-Cola's Direct-Store-Delivery (DSD) system to deliver measurable results.
The Senior Manager is a key liaison across the Albertsons account team, bottler system, and internal stakeholders, driving operational discipline and accountability for initiatives that impact consumer engagement and profitability. This position requires a strong operational mindset, a sharp eye for data-driven decision making, and the ability to influence partners without direct authority. If you are passionate about execution excellence and making a tangible impact on how our brands come to life at retail, this role offers an opportunity to step up and lead meaningful change within a dynamic grocery environment.
What You'll Do for Us
  • Manage DSD Execution & Growth Platforms: Oversee day-to-day warehouse and field execution across dispensed beverage, fuel programs, space optimization, and activation initiatives, ensuring alignment with customer and system strategies.
  • Translate Strategy into Action: Convert Albertsons' account priorities and Coca-Cola's annual plans into detailed division-level execution roadmaps with clear timelines, roles, and performance expectations.
  • Monitor & Optimize Performance: Track execution through scorecards and metrics for space, distribution, equipment placement, and activation. Identify performance gaps and work cross-functionally to address barriers quickly.
  • Steward System & Operational Tools: Manage DSD systems including PICOS, INCAST, contract administration, new item setup, and forecasting to ensure rapid, accurate, and compliant execution of negotiated programs.
  • Partner on Joint Planning Processes: Support Joint Business Planning (JBP) and Annual Business Planning (ABP) inputs by creating recommendations grounded in insights that drive merchandising, space allocation, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive Bottler and Field Alignment: Collaborate with bottler partners and retail divisions to ensure synchronized execution and adherence to timelines for activation programs and innovation rollouts.
  • Enable Cross-Functional Integration: Work with key functions-Category, Commercial, Brand, RGM, Finance, Supply Chain, and Marketing-to connect operational realities with customer advocacy and commercial priorities.
  • Deliver Customer-Ready Materials: Develop execution updates, space optimization recommendations, and performance summaries for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accurate, timely reporting.
  • Influence Through Data & Insights: Leverage analytics to identify risks and opportunities in execution, shaping action plans that deliver accountability and operational excellence.
  • Maintain Routines for Governance & Follow-Through: Lead weekly stewardship meetings, manage action logs, and escalate unresolved issues for timely resolution and smooth implementation of strategies.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
  • 5-7 years in sales, account management, commercial planning, or customer execution within beverage or CPG industries.
  • Experience driving in-market program execution across field teams, bottlers, or retail divisions.
  • Knowledge of DSD operational systems and execution platforms (PICOS, INCAST) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex workstreams and influence internal/external stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret performance data and develop practical solutions for executional improvement.
  • Proven ability to produce customer-facing presentations, performance reports, and scorecards.
  • Solid understanding of joint business planning fundamentals and retail merchandising principles.
  • Digital proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to leverage emerging tools and AI analytics to enhance decision-making.
  • Adaptability, organizational discipline, and proactive problem-solving skills to deliver results in a fast-paced retail environment.

What We'll Do for You
  • Enable you to manage high-visibility initiatives that directly impact growth across one of our top U.S. retail partners.
  • Provide advanced tools, systems, and insights to strengthen your operational and strategic skill set.
  • Offer exposure to cross-functional leadership and mentorship opportunities to enhance your career trajectory.
  • Create an environment where innovation and continuous improvement are core to driving future growth in DSD execution excellence.
