Job description

Key Responsibilities:
Specimen Collection:
  • Accurately and timely collection of specimens following DOT guidelines.
  • Conduct random and emergency observed urine collections for same-sex donors.
  • Collect specimens for drug screenings and additional services.
  • Complete and accurately fill out Chain of Custody (COC) and Alcohol Testing Forms.
  • Properly label and package specimens for transport, ensuring the correct forms are used.
  • Upload, fax, and mail COC and Alcohol Testing Forms within 24 hours.
  • Dispatched to onsite collections & events.
Transportation and Record Management:
  • Safely and promptly transport specimens, supplies, equipment, and materials to designated destinations.
  • Maintain detailed records of each specimen collected and support record deletion processes as directed.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and donors.
Compliance and Accuracy:
  • Follow DOT Guidelines for Breath Alcohol and Urine collections.
  • Maintain collection logs, accuracy logs, calibrations, and certifications.
  • Correct any collection errors within 24 hours.
  • Submit accurate time and travel logs as required by management.

Requirements:
  • Current certification to perform DOT drug and alcohol collections.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a busy lab and travel to client locations throughout Palm Beach County.
