Title : Mainframe Application Support (SOE 4) 
Location: Chandler, AZ/ Des Moines, IA – Hybrid Schedule
Contract: 18+Months

Job Description:
• Position will be working in the Mainframe platform support group. Candidate must have Mainframe application support experience.
• Client is seeking three identical Senior Specialty Systems Operations Engineers to join a Mainframe Production Support team supporting critical applications in a highly specialized, non-standard environment.
• This role requires strong hands-on mainframe application support experience and the ability to work in a follow-the-sun model alongside offshore team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide Level 2/3 production support for Automated Credit, Rewards, and Credit Card Hub applications
• Monitor production systems and ensure system stability and uptime
• Analyze and troubleshoot failed mainframe jobs (JCL)
• Perform root cause analysis and support ad hoc job executions
• Partner with Production Control to restart and recover failed jobs
• Respond to business user requests and application team needs
• Maintain and update incident tracking (ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence)
• Monitor and respond to application group mailboxes
• Document incidents, resolutions, and create JIRA stories for follow-up
Required Skills:
• Strong experience in Mainframe Production Support (application support required)
Technologies/tools:
• JCL, COBOL, CICS, DB2, CA7, IDCAMS, Mainview
• File tools: File Manager, File Analyzer, EZTRIEV
• Experience with ticketing and documentation tools (ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence or similar)
