COATING SUPERINTENDENT

Description:

A Coating Superintendent oversees all aspects of a coating's or painting projects associated with ground storage tanks. Coating Superintendent ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards. This includes managing personnel, materials, equipment, and schedules, while also maintaining quality control and adhering to safety regulations. They act as the primary point of contact for the project team, including clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities of a Coating Superintendent:

  • Project Management: Planning, organizing, and executing coating projects, including developing work plans, managing schedules, and overseeing daily operations.
  • Personnel Management: Directing and supervising coating crews, ensuring proper training, and managing employee performance.
  • Quality Control: Ensuring that all coatings meet specified standards and requirements, including surface preparation, application techniques, and final finish.
  • Safety Management: Implementing and enforcing safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel, and complying with OSHA regulations.
  • Materials and Equipment Management: Overseeing the procurement, storage, and use of materials and equipment, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
