A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Product Marketing Manager, you are a key business leader and part of the Systems Irvine Business Unit whose product portfolio includes optical systems, light sources, sensors, lens assemblies, optics, coating and manufacturing services.
You will be responsible for bringing a new segment of business online which includes product strategy, roadmap, sales pipeline, and new market growth opportunities. Your priority and focus are with emerging customers and internal stakeholders to develop and lead strategies to maximize growth, profit, and customer satisfaction. In this exciting, strategic role, you will report directly to the Director of Product Marketing in the Systems Irvine Business Unit.
You Make an Impact by:
  • "Owning" team, product, and product line business success
  • Directs the development of company market requirements for a new market, including product strategy definition, requirements analysis, and pricing
  • Drive the development of business plans, managing lifecycles, and product positioning in the marketplace
  • Reduce broad concepts and business strategies into structured product marketing plans
  • Conducts market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs
  • Establishes pricing strategies
  • Collaborates with engineering, operations, supply chain and sales to enhance existing product(s) or product line(s)

Skills You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in a science, engineering, or technical discipline preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, or business leadership within a technology-driven environment
  • 3+ years of experience in optical systems or laser technologies with the ability to act as a technical advisor
  • Proven ability to define and execute product strategies, roadmaps, and lifecycle management
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated success in driving growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, and pricing strategy development
  • Skilled at translating broad concepts and business goals into structured product plans
  • Collaborative leader with a track record of working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, supply chain, and sales to deliver results
  • Ability to act as a technical advisor for product lines, with the confidence to engage both internal teams and key customers

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Pay Range: $110,000 to $160,000 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
