Job Description
Job Title: Host / Hostess
Department: Centro
Division: Centro Front of House
Reports to: Centro General Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: Greets and seats customers in a fashion that contributes to the smooth, efficient operation of the lounge and keeps the area around the front entrance and hostess station as clean and orderly by performing the following duties. Other duties may be assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Accepts arriving guests as they enter with a cordial greeting and using guest's name whenever possible.
  2. Escorts to assigned areas and solicits rapport to accommodate special needs and/or requests.
  3. Notifies servers of new seats in their section to ensure the customers receive immediate and proper attention.
  4. Maintains a highly visible appearance during entire shift by remaining at the hostess stand.
  5. Works as coat-check attendant if directed.
  6. Maintains a clean hostess stand by assisting with vacuuming, sweeping, general cleaning, and side work duties.
  7. Checks the proper set-up of tables and seating prior to opening.
  8. Reports in writing any maintenance or housekeeping discrepancies to management immediately.
  9. Always exhibits a professional appearance and maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skillset, and ability. Physical Demands:
