Job Summary and QualificationsResponsible for all aspects of patient radiographic imagery for invasive procedures and for radiologic safety precautions as they pertain to the patient, Special Lab Staff and the physician. Plans, carries out records of all radiologic requirements for quality control.

What you will do in this role:

  • Demonstrates a sound understanding of human physiology and anatomical positioning so that independent selection and modification of the technical factors produce optimum radiologic results.
  • Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation when appropriate and maintains valid CPR certification.
  • Maintains skill level adequate for operation and troubleshooting of equipment, video recorder, fluoroscopy, etc., and film developing and viewing equipment.
  • Has a working knowledge of all equipment used in Special Procedures.
  • Cross trains in specific areas as assigned.
  • Maintains ethical relationships with patients, peers and physicians
  • Positions and transfers patients
  • Practices sterile techniques when necessary
  • Follows the Radiation Protection Program minimizing radiation exposures to self, patients and co workers
  • Keeps room stocked and clear of clutter
  • Maintains current licensure
  • Participates in after hour, weekend, and holiday call rotation. Responds appropriately within time set as per department policy.

What qualifications you will need:

  • 1-3 years of experience required
  • (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
  • Current TDH certificate for Certified Medical Technologist is required
  • Associate Degree
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR, or CPR for Healthcare Providers
