Job Summary:

Cinder Residuals Texas is seeking a dependable and observant Lab Technician to join our facility located in the vicinity of Fairfield, TX. Our projects across throughout the United States involve large quantities of fly ash and other coal combustion residuals that require testing prior and after beneficiation into concrete products. Primary testing methods include a variety of analytical chemistry techniques and other testing methods.

Key Responsibilities:

ยทย  ย  ย  ย  ย Conduct laboratory experiments for testing fly ash and other coal combustion residual (CCR) materialsย 
ยทย  ย  ย  ย  ย Manage samples, including receipt, shipping, delivery, storage and organization in a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
ยทย  ย  ย  ย  ย Prepare reports and internal communications
ยทย  ย  ย  ย  ย Travel occasionally (โ‰ค10%) to neighboring company sites for sample collection and delivery
ยทย  ย  ย  ย  ย Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on lab equipment
ยทย  ย  ย  ย  ย Maintain inventory of lab chemicals and supplies, coordinate with external vendors
ยทย  ย  ย  ย  ย Label and track all collected data
ยทย  ย  ย  ย  ย Enter and manage data using various software tools
ยทย  ย  ย  ย  ย Coordinate with Plant and Field Operations
ยทย  ย  ย  ย  ย Meet project schedules while fostering a collaborative and professional working environment
ยทย  ย  ย  ย  ย Maintain a safe working environment by following Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), keeping the lab hazard-free, and reporting issues to management

Qualifications and Requirements:
ยทย  ย  ย  ย  ย Associates or Bachelors degree in STEM or related filed.ย 
ยทย  ย  ย  ย  ย Hands-on laboratory or research experience preferred
ยทย  ย  ย  ย  ย Ability to read and understand ASTM standards and procedures related to fly ash and concrete
ยทย  ย  ย  ย  ย Full adherence to OSHA and Company Safety Policies
ยทย  ย  ย  ย  ย Ability to pass all pre-employment screening
