Summary/Objective 

The Coach is responsible for delivering scientifically designed Orangetheory Fitness workouts within Austin Fitness Group (AFG) studios while creating a high-energy, motivating, and results-driven member experience. This role requires the ability to effectively coach and engage multiple members in a group fitness setting while maintaining strong time management, communication, and motivational skills. The Coach confidently represents the Orangetheory Fitness brand by delivering exceptional coaching experiences, fostering meaningful member relationships, and supporting member retention and engagement. This role partners closely with the studio team to contribute to sales and retention goals, maintain a welcoming and inclusive studio environment, and ensure a seamless member experience before, during, and after classes. The Coach must possess a well-rounded understanding of fitness principles, including endurance, strength, and power training, and effectively utilize Orangetheory programming, technology, and coaching tools to optimize member performance, safety, and results. The Coach reports directly to the Head Coach.

Supervisory Responsibility This position does not manage a team.

Work Environment  This role frequently interacts with studio leadership, vendors, contractors, landlords, and internal business partners. Work may involve exposure to maintenance, repair, and construction environments, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. The fitness studio environment may include moderate to loud noise levels due to music and group fitness classes. Administrative responsibilities require regular use of computers, mobile devices, phones, and other standard office equipment. The role may require flexibility in scheduling to respond to facility emergencies, oversee projects, or support business needs outside of normal operating hours.

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. This position requires frequent standing, walking, and moving throughout the studio, as well as regular interaction with members and team members. The employee is regularly required to communicate effectively, including talking and hearing in a potentially loud environment. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The role may occasionally require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items such as retail products or supplies (up to approximately 50 pounds), as well as bending, reaching, and light cleaning tasks to maintain the studio environment.

Travel No travel is anticipated unless deemed necessary for trainings or other company needs.
