CO2 Division Territory Manager

Full Time Management Macon, GA, US

8 days ago Requisition ID: 1917

The CO2 Division Territory Manager is responsible for leading local CO2 operations within an assigned territory, ensuring routes, deliveries, installations, depot operations, safety, compliance, staffing, and customer service standards are executed effectively. This role serves as the primary local leader for drivers and field personnel, coordinating closely with routing, dispatch, installation, cryogenic supply, fleet, HR, and BevCarb management teams to keep operations running smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

Route Management and Dispatch Support

  • Monitor route status and direct local work to ensure routes are completed, current, and balanced properly among team members.
  • Work with drivers and management to plan for absences so routes continue to run when drivers take time off.
  • Serve as a point of contact for emergency deliveries, supporting drivers while reallocating work as needed to minimize disruption to scheduled routes.
  • Coordinate with the Route Manager to recommend changes to account assignments, zones, and driver workload distribution.
  • Prioritize daily work when competing routing, emergency dispatch, installation, and service needs arise.

Installations, Driver Support, and Team Leadership

  • Remain aware of scheduled installations and coordinate with the Install Manager to support installation technicians and customer commitments.
  • Respond to driver requests, stay engaged with local team issues, and work with corporate management to address needs and concerns.
  • Hold local team members accountable for performance, professionalism, customer service, and adherence to company expectations.
  • Support the hiring and termination process as directed by the Vice President of BevCarb.
  • Work with the Vice President of BevCarb to establish and maintain appropriate work schedules for the local team.
  • Oversee time reporting, PTO coordination, and staffing plans for after-hours emergency response coverage seven days per week.
  • Responsible for ensuring that new employees receive the necessary training to feel confident in the safety and proficient performance of their roles; should include adequate training in the following areas: operations, safety, procedure, and the use of technology.

Depot, Inventory, and Product Supply Management

  • Maintain necessary supplies and tools at the depot and on trucks to support daily operations.
  • Ensure sufficient, but not excessive, bulk tank inventory is available to support installations and service.
  • Ensure tanks requiring repair are returned to Dunn or Richmond for evaluation, repair, and redeployment.
  • Manage high-pressure cylinder inventory at the depot and on trucks to meet operational needs.
  • Ensure a reliable process is in place for empty cylinders to be refilled promptly.
  • Monitor available bulk CO2 supply at depots and coordinate with the cryogenic team to ensure product availability, especially during times of limited supply.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, security, and safety of the depot site.

Fleet, Safety, and Compliance

  • Work with the company’s fleet manager and the BevCarb management team to ensure preventive fleet maintenance (including vehicle and tank inspections) is consistently performed in a timely manner.
  • Promote safe driving habits and reinforce company expectations regarding speeding, reckless driving, and safe vehicle operation.
  • Maintain a strong CO2 safety culture, including awareness of key hazards such as asphyxiation, cylinder handling, and unsafe driving behaviors.
  • Ensure local compliance with DOT and highway regulations, including driver qualification files, drug testing programs, pre- and post-trip inspections, proper manifests, registrations, and vehicle paperwork.
  • Ensure trucks are legal, have required documents, and not overloaded.
  • Perform HR-related tasks as directed by HR and BevCarb management to support compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Serve as the primary depot point of contact for emergency response.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • CDL B with HazMat endorsement required.
  • Prior leadership, supervisory, or operations management experience, preferably in route delivery, beverage gas, industrial gas, logistics, field service, or a related environment.
  • Strong ability to coordinate daily field activity, prioritize competing demands, and keep teams focused on safe and efficient execution.
  • Working knowledge of DOT compliance, driver safety, vehicle inspections, and fleet maintenance practices is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, technicians, dispatchers, managers, customers, and corporate support teams.
  • Ability to monitor inventory, supplies, equipment, vehicles, route status, and staffing coverage across an assigned territory.
  • Commitment to safety, professionalism, customer service, accountability, and continuous operational improvement.

Core Competencies

  • Operational leadership and accountability
  • Route and workload coordination
  • Problem solving and prioritization
  • Clear communication and follow-up
  • Team support and employee engagement
  • Attention to compliance, documentation, and process discipline

Work Environment and Schedule Expectations

This position requires active involvement in depot and field operations, frequent engagement with drivers and technicians, and availability to support emergency dispatch planning within the assigned territory. The Territory Manager must be able to balance daily operational needs with long-term improvements in route reliability, safety, compliance, team morale, and customer service.
