About DDS Engineering and Surveying, LLP (DDSE): DDSE is an experienced and highly qualified natural gas/civil engineering, permitting and survey firm that has been performing consulting engineering and construction services in the natural gas industry for many years. We currently perform these engineering services related to natural gas transmission, distribution main design, station design (M&R, gate stations, and regulator stations) and customer services (residential and commercial) for a variety of natural gas customers throughout the Northeast. Our dynamic team is comprised of experienced natural gas engineers, civil and mechanical engineers, surveyors, gas construction personnel as well as in-house staff expertise in the areas of legal, compliance, and safety.
The Engineering co-op is responsible for assisting the Engineering Department with ongoing Land Development and/or Energy Design projects. Will involve working closely with Project Managers and other Engineering staff to collect detailed data and gather information or documents, permitting and performing basic redlining, survey field/mapping tasks while utilizing AutoCAD Map 3D.
Engineering-Internship/Co-op Pay Rate: $20/Hour
Skills and Experience
Required
  • Current student actively pursuing an Associates or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess strong attention to detail with sound analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to perform basic AutoCAD Tasks.
Preferred:
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
