Plumbing Designer – Plumbing Systems & Design Co-op
Location:  Cincinnati, OH

The Plumbing Designer Co-op supports the mechanical/plumbing department in meeting its project responsibilities, schedules and goals. The position will collaborate with MEP department staff during the design and documentation of plumbing systems and will coordinate plumbing design with all other disciplines so that the design is coordinated internally as well as with external clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Help our clients achieve their goals
  • Work with Plumbing Engineers and Project Managers to meet KZF goals and objectives
  • Support Plumbing Engineering projects under the supervision of Plumbing Engineers and other MEP staff.
  • Maintain a general knowledge of architectural, structural, civil, electrical, fire protection and telecom building systems; coordinate these systems with the Plumbing design
  • Prepare Plumbing design and construction documents in REVIT, per applicable standards
  • Prepare documents in conformance with KZF standards and quality control requirements
  • Assist with the preparation of Plumbing Engineering design studies, design narratives, calculations, and analysis
  • Assist with the preparation of design documents as required for all phases of design (concept, schematic, design development, construction documents)


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience producing plumbing design and construction documents in an A/E consulting firm or trades organization.
  • Proficiency in REVIT
  • Comfortable with a broad range of project types
  • Familiarity with plumbing system design, including DWV, storm, domestic water, fire protection, and specialty plumbing systems. 
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects
  • Familiarity with building design and construction
  • Proactive and assertive in problem solving
  • Comfortable meeting with team members for coordination
