Job Description Summary: Draper Laboratory is seeking a highly-motivated student interested in the design of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) algorithms and software for complex civilian or commercial space applications. The candidate will work in a team responsible for the development of simulation models and analysis tools to evaluate GN&C functionality and performance. Specific activities will include simulation development, stability analysis, guidance and control law development, navigation accuracy assessments, robustness analysis, and support of GN&C software development and testing.
This task will also require the development and maintenance of high-fidelity, 6-Degree-of-Freedom (6-DOF) dynamic simulation models of the vehicle. The student will implement non-real-time simulations and perform simulation-based analysis to define GN&C system requirements and capabilities. Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities * Design, develop, and enhancement engineering solutions for challenging problems.
* Implement, test, perform analysis, and provide documentation support.
* Generate and present test reports including plots, tables, evaluation criteria, and conclusions from data collected and analyzed throughout the test process.
* Complete assignments designed to develop a practical knowledge of processes, procedures, equipment, facilities, and systems as well as their interrelationships within engineering disciplines.
