Job description

Summary
Accountable for assuring delivery of quality nursing care for the designated patients and or coworkers in accordance with the individual patients needs, physicians' orders, PHS policies, and standards of practice via telephone and/or indirect contact. Responsible for working collaboratively with management, physician, and coworkers to provide excellent service to our patients and co-workers. Maintains confidentiality of information regarding patients, significant others and all healthcare team members. Responsible for working collaboratively with leadership, physician, and coworkers to provide excellent service to every person every day. Independently plans and provides excellent professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders, established outpatient and departmental policies and procedures, American Nurses Association Standards of Clinical Practice, Nurse Practice Act - in respective working state, and the ANA Code of Ethics.
Education
Requires a Diploma in Nursing or an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from a nationally accredited nursing program; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Must hold a current RN licensure, in the applicable state of practice.
Other Qualifications
Medical terminology and pharmacology background recommended. Essential computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records recommended. Good verbal and written communication skills required.
