Job description

SUMMARY: Assists tests on vehicles, manages projects, and conducts and records test track environmental conditions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Organizes work crew's daily tests based upon weather, track conditions, personnel availability, and client requests.
• Reviews, understands, and ensures compliance with testing standards.
• Creates and reviews ASTM F1805 test conditions and test sequences.
• Records daily environmental and test track conditions.
• Reports and tracks daily test conditions and productivity.
• Monitors daily test data (traction coefficients & environmental conditions) and identifies trends.
• Receives incoming test tire shipments.
• Communicates with engineer.
• Ensures security of test tire samples.
• Assists engineer as directed.
• Works independently to complete tasks
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: In the process of achieving a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with completed coursework in Calculus (derivatives and integrals), Statistics, Statics, Dynamics, and Physics.
