Location: Ancaster, ON, Canada (onsite)

Salary Range: $22-$24 per hour
Vacancy Type: Co-op Position
Schedule: Full-time, Day shift
Relocation: Not Applicable
Travel: Minimal

What Youโ€™ll Be Doing:

  • Ensuring the adherence to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 9001 all Johnson Electric's policies and any other industry standards in all activities

  • Working on Solidworks drawingsย 

  • Working with the Automation design team of the company in order to make sure that we are making world class drawingsย for our assembly lines

  • Interaction with production operators, technicians and other key resources to assist with the documentation, standardization and improvement of processes

  • Create and Update our PM system

  • Create & maintain documentation for new and existing assembly lines

  • Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives

  • Perform other related duties as required

What Weโ€™re Looking For:

  • Working toward a technical degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Design

  • Experience in a design role or previous co-op considered an asset

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Independent and self-motivated worker

  • Hands on experience is a PLUS

  • Committed to meeting deadline requirements

  • Willing and able to multi-task and change priorities based on organizational needs

  • Strong ability to use Microsoft Office Software

  • Strong Auto Cad or CAD experience (Both 3D & 2D)

  • Troubleshooting skills

  • Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization

  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation
