CNC MachinistLocation: Knoxville, TN (On-site) Job Type: Full-Time Pay Range: DOEShift 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM (4×10s)Overtime: As neededPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and advanced multi-axis equipment in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment. This role supports both production and engineering teams and requires strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading skills, and commitment to quality and safety.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate advanced CNC equipment (4/5-axis mills, Swiss machines, lathes with live tooling)Run multi-axis machining operations to produce complex, high-precision partsValidate new setups and programs for pre-production and production runsPerform first-piece and in-process inspectionsRead and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and G/M codeMaintain tight tolerances and high-quality standardsUse precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators)Make offset adjustments to ensure parts meet specificationsSupport training and mentoring of junior machinistsFollow all safety and quality protocols Basic Qualifications6+ years CNC machining experience (mills and lathes)Strong understanding of machining processes: turning, milling, drilling, threadingProficiency reading blueprints and technical drawingsExperience with G & M codesWorking knowledge of GD&TAbility to set up vertical/horizontal machining centers and turning centersStrong math and problem-solving skillsExperience working with various materials in tight-tolerance environmentsMechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand toolsAbility to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periodsClear communication skills (verbal and written)Preferred QualificationsTechnical certification or trade school training (preferred)3+ years blueprint reading experience3+ years leadership or training experience3+ years safety compliance experienceValid driver's licenseBenefitsMedical, Dental, VisionLife InsuranceShort & Long-Term Disability401(k)
