Job description

We have opportunities on afternoon shifts for CNC Machinists at the Timken Aurora Bearing facility.

On the Job training and Growth opportunity available.

Pay based on experience starting at $21.50/hr

+ $1.50 for 2nd shift

CNC Operator/CNC Machinist (Lathe and Mill)

  • Program and/or operate CNC machine components parts from bar stock for inside diameter (I.D.), outside diameter (O.D.), facing, chamfering, grooving, drilling to meet machining requirements.

  • Select and change arbors, fixtures, speed, inserts and tooling to print specifications.

  • Run first piece part, make necessary adjustments to attain quality characteristics per print specifications and complete necessary paperwork to attain a set-up approval.

  • Load parts, cycle machine, check parts at designated intervals and make necessary adjustmentsto maintain quality characteristics of part per print specifications throughout machining operations.

  • Maintain machine operation including checking fluid levels

  • Surface grind and re-sharpen teeth on arbor as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Prefer 1 year of previous experience in manufacturing environment operating CNC machines, set-up experience preferred.

  • Experience with CNC machines such as Hardinge lathe, HAAS, Mazak, Ganesh, Doosan a plus.

  • Experience with gages and micrometers.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.

  • 1st shift hours are Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm and 2nd shift hours are 3:30pm - 12:00am.
