Weekend Warriors - Swiss CNC Machining
CTE has a new shift opportunity! Please read below for more information.
Shift Overview
The Weekend Warrior Shift is a dedicated schedule designed to support extended operations during weekends. Employees for this shift will work:
  • Days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • Hours: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM (12-hour shifts)

Compensation
  • Employees will be paid for 40 hours per week, despite working 36 scheduled hours
  • This shift will have a 15% shift premium
  • Overtime (OT) will be applied to any time worked beyond 36 hours in the workweek, in accordance with company policy and applicable wage laws.
  • Employees will receive Holiday Pay (12 hours) for the following Holidays:
    • Friday, November 27th - Day after Thanksgiving
    • Friday, December 25th - Christmas Day
  • Sign-on bonus incentive: $750 at 30 days; $750 at 90 days

Breaks
Employees working the Weekend Warrior Shift are entitled to the following breaks:
  • Two (2) paid 15-minute rest breaks spaced appropriately throughout the shift.
    • Example: 11:00 AM, 5:00PM
  • One (1) paid 30-minute meal break, at 2:00 PM

Employees are expected to adhere to designated break schedules to maintain operational flow. Supervisors will communicate the specific timing of breaks.
Attendance and Punctuality
  • Due to the compressed nature of the Weekend Warrior schedule, consistent attendance and punctuality are critical.
  • Missing a shift or repeated tardiness may affect eligibility to remain in the Weekend Warrior

Shift Expectations
  • Employees must be prepared to work their full scheduled shifts unless prior approval for absence is obtained.
  • Communication with supervisors regarding emergencies or needed schedule changes is essential.
  • Employees are expected to maintain productivity, safety, and quality standards throughout their shifts.

Essential Functions:
  • Select, install, and align tooling, fixtures, and workpieces for CNC machines
  • Perform machine setup, including zeroing axes, loading programs, and verifying parameters.
  • Monitor machine operations during production runs and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues, including tooling wear, offsets, and surface finish concerns.
  • Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Collaborate with Inspection, Leads and Off-shift Personnel
  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce scrap, and improve quality.
  • Ability to prioritize according to demand

  • Conform to ISO13485, 21 CFR Part 820, and medical device industry requirements
  • Other work-related tasks as assigned

Competency:
  • Must be able to read basic level blueprints features
  • Must be able to use micrometers, dial calipers, and comparators
  • Basic understanding of metrology reporting
  • Basic math, calculation, and related skills needed
  • Ability to comply with Quality System requirements
  • Must be respectful and display a positive attitude

Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of Medical Device experience
