What is a CNC turning machine?

A CNC Turning Machine is a computer-controlled piece of equipment used in manufacturing to precisely shape metal or plastic parts by rotating the workpiece against cutting tools. CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control, which means the machine is operated based on programmed instructions. These machines are commonly used for creating cylindrical parts such as shafts, bolts, and bushings in industries like automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing. Operators program the machine to perform specific cuts, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability. CNC Turning Machines improve production efficiency and consistency compared to manual lathes.
