Description
Our Pevely facility is seeking a motivated CNC Programmer with a hands-on approach to handle our immediate programming needs and to help our team outline and implement new forms of automation at our foundry. This individual will be a key contributor to our current production needs and will play an important role in leading our foundry into new technologies. Personal development through structured technical training and through interaction with in-house professionals of various backgrounds is a key element of this position.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop CNC programs using Delcam Powermill for the production of sand-cast components, including selection of optimum speeds, feeds, tooling, fixtures and machining techniques to ensure accurate dimensional surface finish requirements.
  • Set-up, adjust, operate, and maintain a robotic cell for machining sand molds and foundry tooling from a variety of materials.
  • Perform machining duties to prove out programs on new production and prototype work.
  • Lead and participate in problem-solving in a variety of production and computer environments, including resolving program issues, strategizing the most efficient tooling approaches, and optimizing tool life.
  • Develop and maintain programs for a Maus automated grinding work cell.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers of equipment and consumables, bringing in the best materials and techniques.
  • Assist in establishing Isocure mold-handling program requirements. Make program and component adjustments to correct deviations from the base programs. Train other employees to be self-sufficient in the production environment.

Technical degree or vocational experience required
