Decimal Engineering is a precision manufacturing company specializing in CNC machining and custom sheet metal fabrication for the aerospace, medical, automotive, electronics, and marine industries. As a growing company, we are looking for a Shipping/Receiving Team Leader to help maintain the efficiency and accuracy of our shipping and receiving operations.

Position Overview:

The Shipping/Receiving Team Leader is responsible for overseeing day-to-day shipping, receiving, and inventory operations. Working closely with the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor, this role ensures that orders are shipped on time, incoming materials are processed accurately, and warehouse operations run smoothly.

This role also provides hands-on leadership, coaching team members to meet Decimal Engineering’s quality and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities:Shipping
  • Ensure products are properly packaged and shipped via UPS, FedEx, common carriers, and Decimal local deliveries.
  • Oversee shipment of finished goods to customers, both domestic and international.
  • Manage scheduling and routing for Decimal drivers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Work closely with the Purchasing Team to process parts for outside services suppliers.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping environment.
Receiving
  • Oversee the inspection and verification of incoming raw materials.
  • Ensure proper documentation is collected, including certifications and compliance documents.
  • Supervise the receiving process for small packages (UPS, FedEx, etc.) and raw materials.
  • Manage issuing of raw materials to production based on job travelers.
  • Ensure compliance with scrap management procedures.
Inventory & Warehouse Operations
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for both finished goods and raw materials.
  • Oversee inventory cycle counts (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
  • Monitor and manage warehouse storage to ensure efficient material handling.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures for shipping, receiving, and inventory management.

  • 5+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
  • Clean driving record.
