Compensation: $28.00 - $38.00 / hour
Description
The CNC Team Lead is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations within CNC and also table cutting. This role focuses on production execution, workflow coordination, operational support, and continuous improvement while serving as a key resource for the CNC and fabrication teams.
What You Will Do
• Provide day-to-day leadership and technical guidance to CNC operators and shop personnel.
• Coordinate daily production priorities to support schedule attainment and customer delivery requirements.
• Monitor workflow and address production barriers to maintain throughput and operational efficiency.
• Support training, standard work execution, and accountability within the department.
• Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Maintenance teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Communicate schedule risks, material constraints, and operational concerns proactively.
• Support implementation of corrective actions and process improvements.
• Participate in production meetings, continuous improvement activities, and operational reviews.
• Lead and support 5S, safety, and workplace organization initiatives.
• Monitor production metrics, schedule adherence, and rework trends.
• Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance needs and support capital improvement projects.
• Assist with implementation of new equipment, technologies, and shop layout improvements.
• Support development and maintenance of work instructions and operational documentation.
• Maintain tooling inventory.
What You Will Have
Qualifications, Education & Experience
• High school diploma required; technical or manufacturing background preferred.
• 5+ years of CNC operations experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience coordinating production activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of machining operations and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
