Job description

CNC MACHINIST
Automation Personnel Services is seeking hard working, self-motivated, hands-on CNC Machinist for a Fabrication shop located in Ringgold, GA.   Ideal candidates with Haas and Mazak experience sets up, edits, and runs milling and turning machines to create metal parts. This position is full time temporary to hire. 
 
Pay Rate
$20.00- $25.00 per hour based on experience 
 
Shift and Schedule
8:00am-5:00pm Monday- Friday
 
CNC Machinist Duties and Responsibilities
• Operate a variety of CNC, lathe and/or mill machining.
• Operate machine tools in the machining and finishing of precision machine parts.
• Must be able to operate precision equipment to hold tight tolerances (+/- 0.0002 - +/- .001") and to achieve the proper surface finish in accordance with customer specifications and/or engineering drawings.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and follow work instructions
• Measure thickness, diameter, and total indicated run out across multiple surfaces of industrial parts
• Display the ability to focus on problems as opportunities
 
CNC Machinist Requirements and Qualifications 
• Demonstrated experience managing personal productivity and quality to meet customer requirements
• Proficiency in reading micrometers, using dial indicators, calipers, and other measurement instruments
• Experience working in an industrial environment – 3 years minimum
• Computer skills necessary for data entry -- production and quality
• Experience in a lean/5S environment preferred
