This CNC Programmer position exists to support new and existing production by developing accurate, efficient, and repeatable CNC programs while improving manufacturing methods and supporting the shop floor.

This is a hands-on programming role with real ownership — not a desk-only position.

The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for new and existing aerospace products
  • Support production with on-the-floor troubleshooting and process improvements
  • Create and refine manufacturing methods, routers, and setup documentation
  • Collaborate closely with machinists, quality, and engineering to ensure smooth production
  • Maintain full traceability and documentation in compliance with AS9100 requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, scrap, and variation

You’ll be directly involved in how parts are made — from print to production.

Experience with both mills and lathes is expected.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
  • 3+ years of CNC machining and programming experience
  • Strong understanding of CNC mills and lathes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
  • Experience supporting production in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Aerospace machining experience
  • Fixture and workholding design experience
  • Proven success improving cycle times and standardizing processes

First 30 Days

  • Learn JobBOSS ERP and begin creating job routings
  • Gain familiarity with existing CNC programs and processes
  • Design a fixture or jaws for an active project
  • Develop a plan to increase monthly programming output

By 90 Days

  • Produce 8–10 CNC programs per month
  • Standardize tooling and workholding where possible
  • Apply best practices (including AI-assisted workflows) within ESPRIT
  • Deliver fully configured 3D models for production use
