Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable CNC Operator to join our production team. This role will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience working with CNC equipment, reading technical drawings, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.


Requirements


Job Responsibilities

  • Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot CNC lathes and mills with limited assistance.
  • Load and unload product from machines
  • Ability to reduce setup time and machine through process improvements
  • Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences
  • Ability to recognize broken or worn tooling and replace as needed.
  • Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists or cranes
  • Reads and interprets blueprints.
  • Understands basic industry standard G-code programming.
  • Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling.
  • Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.
  • Provides constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department.
  • Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures.
  • Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
  • Communicates thoughts and ideas, both verbally and in writing, to co-workers and management.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and actively participate by providing meaningful input.
  • Is flexible with time and schedule to assure availabilityย 
  • Communicate honestly, professionally and respectfully with others and demonstrate effective listening skills.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Job Skills & Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of related experience or trainingย 
  • Proficient knowledge of CNC machine operationย 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.ย 
  • Ability to read and use measurement tools accurately.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 -75 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detailย 
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
