Job description

Position Overview

Masterack is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Set-Up & Run Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you'll safely set up, operate, and monitor production equipment used to manufacture high-quality metal components. You'll play a key role in ensuring products meet quality standards while supporting production goals, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Set up and operate manufacturing equipment according to production schedules and work instructions.
  • Operate equipment such as:
    • CNC machines
    • Press brakes
    • Punch presses
    • Riveters
    • Wire benders
    • Wire straighteners
    • Other fabrication equipment
  • Review work orders and production routers to determine tooling, materials, and machine setup requirements.
  • Perform first-piece inspections and routine quality checks throughout production.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, manufacturing specifications, and work instructions.
  • Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges, to verify dimensional accuracy.
  • Complete production, inspection, and quality documentation accurately.
  • Identify quality issues or equipment concerns and communicate them to supervisors.
  • Assist with material handling and movement of production materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You BringRequired Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing, machine operator, or production experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and production documentation.
