What You'll Do:

As a Machinist II, you'll program, set up, and operate CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision components while helping drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement throughout the machine shop.

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines using engineering drawings, part specifications, and machining programs.
  • Select tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies to ensure quality, efficiency, and repeatability.
  • Edit and optimize CNC programs as needed to improve machining performance and product quality.
  • Perform manual machining operations on Bridgeport-style equipment when required.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
  • Perform deburring, finishing, and other secondary machining operations as needed.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Mentor and support less experienced machinists and machine operators.
  • Maintain accurate production records and support quality documentation.
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and operating safely.
  • Follow company quality standards, safety procedures, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 10:00pm - 6:30am EST

What We’re Looking For:  

  • Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Commitment to producing high-quality work with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with production and engineering teams.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • CNC programming experience.
  • Experience with Bridgeport-style manual mills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.
