Job description

CNC Programmer/Operator

This position is located in New Liberty, Iowa, just outside of Walcott. We are a short commute from the Quad Cities!

Our family-owned and operated company produces casting tooling for the aerospace, aircraft, agricultural, and automotive industries, with an increasing emphasis on aerospace and aircraft. We pride ourselves on our quality, on-time delivery and our pattern engineering expertise, as well as our reputation for dedicated customer service.

The pay range for this position is $24.00-$38.00 per hour based on experience.

This position is full-time, M-F, 7:00am - 3:30pm (flexible start time), 40 hours per week with regular overtime potential!

We are looking for a knowledgeable CNC Programmer/Operator to program and use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions. Since some materials are not easy to shape or handle manually or with conventional equipment, your job is critical!

CNC Programmers/Operators are highly skilled professionals, able to work with great concentration and precision. They must be responsible and comply with all safety guidelines. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are essential.

The goal is to produce high quality parts by programming machines to perform the correct operations.

CNC Programmer Responsibilities:

  • Input the product design into the computer modeling software.
  • Choose and load the correct cutting tools for the job.
  • Adjust machine settings to the desired product specifications.
  • Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process.
  • Complete quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product.
  • At times cleaning and maintaining the machine.

CNC Programmer Requirements:

  • Mastercam or similar CAM software experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs to cut various materials.
