Job description

Press Brake Operator
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring proper tooling and calibration for each job
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to produce precise parts
- Program CNC press brakes for complex bending operations, optimizing machine performance
- Perform routine inspections of finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify quality standards
- Maintain accurate production logs, shift reports, and quality documentation throughout each shift
- Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery, including checking tooling and adjusting machine parameters as needed
Requirements:
- Experience with operating press brake machines in a similar environment
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
- Experience using hand tools, calipers, micrometers and other tools for quality inspection
- Experience with CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, welding, electrical discharge machining (EDM), stamping presses, and other machining techniques is a plus
