Job description

Employment Solutions is seeking Sewing Machine Operator in the west Sunrise area (close to Sawgrass Mills Mall). We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Sewing Machine Operator who has has experience using commercial and industrial sewing machines to assemble aviation emergency equipment according to established work instructions, blueprints, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with their hands, has good attention to detail, and is eager to learn sewing and manufacturing processes. 

Hours - Monday - Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm
Pay - $16.00 per hour

Job duties and responsibilities
 

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate commercial and industrial sewing machines to assemble aviation emergency equipment.
  • Prepare and handle fabric and other materials using scissors, electric cutters, and related tools.
  • Follow blueprints, work instructions, stitch specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Inspect finished work for proper stitching, dimensions, and overall quality.
  • Monitor sewing operations and identify thread breaks, defective stitching, or machine issues.
  • Report product defects, equipment concerns, and other production issues to a lead or supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Previous sewing, manufacturing, textile, or production experience
  • Basic understanding of sewing, thread handling and simple stitching
  • Previous experience operating commercial and industrial sewing equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow written instructions, blueprints, and established procedures.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
