CNC Lathe Operator

Davenport, IA | On-Site

Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (1st Shift)


A well-established high-precision job shop in Davenport, IA specializing in complex, one-off and short-run parts is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join its team. Experience programming or running a 5-Axis Mill and/or live tooling CNC Lathe is a plus.


This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a high-mix environment where no two jobs are the same and takes pride in craftsmanship and producing high-quality work.


What You’ll Do

  • Program, set up, and operate 5-axis milling machines and/or live tooling CNC lathes
  • Work from solid models and complex drawings
  • Optimize toolpaths for accuracy, efficiency, and surface finish
  • Select tooling and workholding strategies independently
  • Inspect your own work to tight tolerances
  • Contribute ideas to improve processes and reduce cycle time


What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years CNC experience (5-axis and/or live tooling lathe preferred)
  • Strong CAM programming skills
  • Ability to run complex parts with minimal supervision
  • Experience in a high-mix, short-run job shop environment
  • Strong understanding of GD&T
  • Ability to problem-solve and think ahead
  • High level of accountability and pride in workmanship
