Experienced Lead OR CNC Machinist/Set up/Operator


United Tool offers CNC Turning, Milling, Swiss, & Tool Room capabilities


Job Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work order(s)
  • Set up and adjust machines for different jobs
  • Proving out programs/assisting with programming (at machine or offline)
  • Assist in schedule work through the department
  • Must be comfortable with some leadership responsibilities and working as part of team
  • Ensuring quality control making sure inspection/checks are complete for all finished parts
  • Perform routine maintenance
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Training & supporting other operators/team members when/where necessary

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience as a CNC Machine Operator or relevant training
  • Prior experience running or troubleshooting CNC machines (any experience with Hanwa is great)
  • Experience in programming at the machine/offline is a plus but not required.  Willing to train those with desire to learn.
  • Familiarity with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Dependable and takes ownership of task and follows through on commitments
  • Willingness to learn/continuously develop skills and seek growth opportunities
