Job description

Job Summary:

Set up and operate CNC Router / Plasma Table. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Perform a variety of duties cleaning of parts, cutting and removal of scrap. Extensive use of overhead cranes to move materials and parts as needed. Accurately complete all paperwork associated with the position. Perform other tasks as assigned in support of fabrication operations. Our CNC Plasma Table Operators are competent and can work independently if needed.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC Router / Plasma safely.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Multitask, work independently, and follow instructions.
  • Read, understand, and comprehend basic blueprints and drawings. Must be able to use basic measuring devices, including a tape measure.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime.
  • Prioritize work assignments.
  • Follow all safety rules.

Required Skills / Abilities

  • Possess the ability to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions and demonstrate characteristics of strong work ethics, competent and self-motivated.
  • Perform all necessary production work as part of the manufacturing process according to the work instructions.
  • Perform all necessary quality checks during production and follow procedures when defective parts are discovered Additional Requirements.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical, safety training, background and drug and alcohol screen. Please be aware that UEH has a comprehensive drug policy, which includes random testing.

Education

  • High School

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. (Multiple times daily)
  • Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed.
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
