Job description

Our client is hiring a detail-oriented CNC Plasma Operator for their Bradford West Gwillimbury facility. In this role, you will set up, program and operate Hypertherm plasma cutting tables to produce high-precision steel parts. You'll work from blueprints and work orders, perform in-process quality inspections, handle routine machine maintenance, and ensure compliance with all safety and production standards in a fast-paced fabrication environment. What's in it for you: - Direct-hire position: that means you will be on our client's payroll from day 1 - Competitive pay rate of $28-33/hour, based on experience - Benefits after 3 months - Full time, long term work Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent - Minimum of 2 years operating Messer (or equivalent) CNC plasma / oxyfuel cutting tables - Forklift and overhead-crane operator certification - Familiarity with OHSA and R.S.O. 1990, C.O.1 regulations and strong safety record - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings and GDT - Strong understanding of multi-axis profile cutting - Proficiency with on-console programming, nesting software and basic machine maintenance - Able to lift 25 kg regularly and handle repetitive motions - Flexibility to work afternoon shifts, and occasional weekend shifts Responsibilities - Perform CNC machine setup tasks - Load programs or manually enter simple part profiles - Adjust cutting parameters (speed, feed rate, kerf offset, torch height) per work order - Perform first-piece quality inspections and in-process checks using precision tools - Record dimensions and flag out-of-tolerance parts for correction - Change consumables (nozzles, shields, electrodes) and perform daily/weekly preventative maintenance - Use forklift or crane to load/unload plate and finished parts - Update stock levels in real time and ensure minimum consumable thresholds - Coordinate with yard crew, welders and other departments to plan workloads If you have 2 years of CNC operating experience, apply today!
