Job description

Mid-States Steel Corporation is a 100% Employee Owned company and is current looking for a CNC Machine Operator. Candidate will be working in a steel fabrication shop doing various tasks. Operating different types of machinery is the main task, but applicant will be trained in other tasks as well. Applicant must be willing to work with chains and hoists moving heavy structural steel. Other tasks include moving steel in the yard, packing bolts for orders, and cleaning shop floors and equipment. Applicant must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, be able to read shop drawings and tape measures and be able to work in a shop enviroment setting. CNC machinery expereince as well as general computer knowlege is preffered but not required. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age. We understand weekends are important to everyone and that's why our working hours are Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm with occasional overtime as needed. We are a very small company with a lot of great benefits and a low turn over rate.
