Peabody Engineering is committed to fostering a healthy company culture, a great work environment, and a genuine concern for its employees.JOB TITLE: Rotational Molding Machine OperatorPOSITION REPORTS TO: Production & Maintenance ManagerPOSITION SUMMARYThe Rotational Molding Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring rotational molding equipment to produce high-quality thermoplastic parts and products. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes to ensure production goals are consistently met.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS1-3 years of experience in rotational molding or a similar manufacturing environment preferred.Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery.Proficiency in basic to intermediate shop math and blueprint reading.Experience with CRM and ERP systems is strongly preferred.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Strong verbal and written communication abilities.Analytical mindset with a high attention to detail.Capable of retaining detailed instructions and working independently.Physically able to lift to 50 lbs. safely.Positive attitude and ability to work constructively with team members.Experience operating warehouse equipment (or willingness to train).ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSet up and operate rotational molding machines in accordance with daily production schedules.Ensure products are manufactured to specification by monitoring machine indicators, performing in-process inspections, and adjusting as needed.Interpret and follow production orders, blueprints, and work instructions for mold setups, temperatures, and cycle times.Regulate machine settings, including pressure, temperature, speed, and feed rates, using controls and dials.Inspect finished products for visual defects and dimensional accuracy using precision measuring tools.Perform routine mold maintenance and preparation to ensure optimal machine performance.Trim, deburr, and prepare molded parts as necessary to meet quality standards.Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all housekeeping protocols.Collaborate with team members to meet or exceed production targets and deadlines.Identify and recommend improvements to production methods, machine performance, and product quality.Demonstrate consistent and punctual attendance and communicate schedule changes in advance.Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.Comply with all company policies, safety guidelines, and quality assurance procedures.Willingness to work overtime and cross-train in other manufacturing roles as needed.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.ACCOUNTABILITIESConduct precise measurements and visual inspections of finished products to identify surface or dimensional defects, ensuring compliance with quality specifications using appropriate measuring instruments.Monitor the continuous operation of automated molding equipment to verify production quality, detect malfunctions, and make real-time adjustments.
