Aurora Technologies, Inc. is a custom machine shop leading the industry in thermosets and thermoplastics.

We are seeking CNC Operators to fulfill the following roles in the machine shop at our ATI South location in Spartanburg, South Carolina:

  • 1st Shift, CNC Operator - 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday
  • 2nd Shift, CNC Operator - 3:00pm - 11:30pm, Monday - Friday
  • Starting pay rate is commensurate with experience.

Job Description:

  • Understand quality and production within company specifications, goals, and objectives.
  • Comply with all safety and environmental rules and regulations; comply with internal company practices.
  • Support all 6S and lean initiatives.
  • Report any issues to the Production Supervisor.
  • Maintain proper training, tools, and materials to carry out his/her duties.
  • Set up and manage CNC Machines to perform different jobs
  • Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company
  • Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results
  • Check machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must possess basic computer skills
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Must be detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards
  • Some experience in manufacturing
  • Experience with CNC machining is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to translate mechanical documents and engineering drawings, such as blueprints is preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours
  • Ability to bend and squat
