Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring a CNC Machine Operator for the Rotor Department at an industrial components manufacturing facility in Houston, TX. In this role, you will operate CNC production equipment to machine components for industrial applications, reading blueprints and production routers to meet quality and dimensional specifications.
Pay:$22-$27/hr
Schedule: Mon-Fri 5:00 pm-5:00 am (overnight)
Location: Houston, TX
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Work Environment: Manufacturing Plant / Factory
Overtime:Daily
Responsibilities
  • Operate one or more CNC machines in the Rotor Department to produce industrial components to print specifications.
  • Select and adjust machine settings to meet production requirements.
  • Use hand-held measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to verify part dimensions.
  • Monitor equipment during production runs and report any performance issues to supervision.
  • Record production data and quality check results accurately.
  • Follow established safety procedures and quality standards throughout all machining operations.

Minimum Requirements
  • 1+ year of CNC machine operation or machining experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience machining rotors, shafts, or other rotating components.
  • Familiarity with standard metrology tools including calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
  • Experience operating multiple CNC machine types (lathes, mills, machining centers).
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations to verify tolerances and production accuracy.
