Sommaire du poste

L'oprateur(trice) de machine de coule de polyurthane / technicien(ne) en prparation de moules est responsable de la prparation des moules, de l'opration des quipements de dosage et de coule, ainsi que de la fabrication de pices en polyurthane conformes aux spcifications techniques et aux normes de qualit. Ce poste est manuel et joue un rle cl dans la constance, la prcision dimensionnelle et la qualit des pices produites.

Responsabilits principalesOpration des machines et coule
  • Oprer les machines de coule et de dosage de polyurthane de faon scuritaire et efficace

  • Effectuer les rglages selon les paramtres de production (temprature, ratios de mlange, vitesses de coule)

  • Surveiller les oprations de coule afin d'assurer un remplissage et un durcissement adquats

  • Effectuer un dpannage mcanique de base et signaler toute anomalie

Prparation et manutention des moules
  • Prparer les moules pour la coule (nettoyage, assemblage, tanchit, application d'agents dmoulants)

  • Inspecter l'tat des moules avant la production (usure, dommages, conformit dimensionnelle)

  • Installer les inserts, noyaux ou renforts selon les requis

  • Dmouler les pices de faon scuritaire et sans les endommager

Contrle de la qualit
  • Inspecter les pices finies pour dtecter les dfauts (bulles d'air, porosit, dfauts de surface, variations dimensionnelles)

  • Vrifier les dimensions l'aide d'outils de mesure (vernier, gabarits, jauges)

  • Complter la documentation de production et de qualit

Manutention des matriaux et tches d'atelier
  • Peser, mlanger et manipuler les matriaux de polyurthane et additifs avec prcision

  • Maintenir un environnement de travail propre et organis

  • Respecter les procdures de manipulation, d'entreposage et d'limination des produits chimiques

  • Apporter un soutien aux autres tches de production au besoin

Sant et scurit
  • Respecter les normes de sant et scurit au travail (CNESST, SIMDUT/WHMIS)

    Position Summary

    The Polyurethane Pouring Machine Operator / Mold Preparation Technician is responsible for preparing molds, operating polyurethane dispensing and pouring equipment, and producing high-quality molded polyurethane parts in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards. This role is hands-on and critical to ensuring consistency, dimensional accuracy, and surface finish of finished products.

    Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation & Pouring
    • Operate polyurethane pouring and dispensing machines safely and efficiently

    • Set up machines according to job specifications, including temperature, mix ratios, and pour rates

    • Monitor pours to ensure proper fill, cure, and material behavior

    • Perform basic machine troubleshooting and report mechanical or process issues

    Mold Preparation & Handling
    • Prepare molds for casting (cleaning, assembling, sealing, applying release agents)

    • Inspect molds for wear, damage, or dimensional issues prior to pouring

    • Install inserts, cores, or reinforcements as required by the job

    • Demold parts safely and without damage once curing is complete

    Quality Control
    • Inspect finished parts for defects such as air entrapment, voids, surface imperfections, or dimensional variance

    • Measure parts using calipers, gauges, or templates to ensure compliance with drawings

    • Document production data and quality results as required

    Material Handling & Shop Duties
    • Accurately weigh, mix, and handle polyurethane materials and additives

    • Maintain cleanliness of molds, tools, and work areas

    • Follow material handling and storage procedures for chemicals and consumables

    • Assist with general shop duties as needed

    Health, Safety & Compliance
    • Follow all safety procedures related to chemicals, machinery, and PPE

    • Maintain compliance with workplace safety standards (WHMIS, CNESST/OSHA, as applicable)

    • Report safety concerns, incidents, or near misses immediately

    Qualifications & SkillsRequired
    • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial production environment
