Description:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Properly and safely load and unload raw materials in CNC Swiss machinery; respond to machine malfunctions, and abide by ISO requirements and safety operating procedures
  • Maintain part specifications by turning, facing, drilling, boring, grooving, threading and milling machine operations; display proficiencies taking measurements; adjust and replace worn tools; adhere to internal quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Must be able to use precision gages and instruments, read inspection documents, record irregularity findings and make decisions for part quality, and perform unassisted tool wear offsets on machine tools, such as drills, taps and inserts Use hand tools for deburring as required.


JOB DUTIES:

  • Ability to do repetitive work and coordinate work load in multiple machine CNC cells.
  • Perform regular equipment cleaning and light maintenance tasks for lubricants and coolant.
  • Recognize, deploy and properly use work holding, precision tooling and inserts.
  • Understand and have the ability to make machine adjustments; perform own tool wear offsets.
  • Interpret quality requirements and use gauges to meet tolerance requirements.
  • Participate in and contribute to continuous improvement culture including lean initiatives.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Pass required Company prescreening assessments.
  • Possess good problem-solving skills and ability to read required gages and tools.
  • Prior CNC machining background; CNC machinist technical school course work or CNC Boot Camp certificate and/or mechanical experience desirable.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds without assistance, reaching, bending and standing for long periods of time is also required.
  • Previous experience with Fanuc or Mazak controls, “G” & “M” code knowledge an added plus.
