**Job Duties Include

**

  • Review work orders, blueprints, specifications, and CAM programs to prepare for assigned machining operations.

  • Set up and operate various CNC mills (3-, 4-, and 5-axis) and CNC lathes based on individual proficiency, training, and production needs.

  • Load and unload parts, materials, fixtures, and tooling as required for assigned operations.

  • Verify proper tooling, work holding, offsets, and machine settings prior to and during production.

  • Produce precision-machined components that conform to customer specifications, drawings, and tolerancing requirements.

  • Use appropriate measuring and inspection equipment to verify part dimensions and quality throughout the machining process.

  • Monitor CNC equipment during operation and make authorized adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.

  • Identify and report machining, tooling, program, equipment, or quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor or technical personnel.

  • Complete required production, quality, and job documentation accurately.

  • Manage personal workflow and assigned jobs to remain aligned with the Machine Shop production schedule.

  • Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.

  • Follow all Pro-Type safety, quality, and operating procedures.

  • Support Machine Shop activities and other production needs as requested.

  • Perform other duties in support of Pro-Type Industries as assigned.

**Job Qualifications

**

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous CNC machining or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CNC machining processes and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and basic machining specifications.
  • Ability to understand and follow CAM/CNC programs and established setup instructions.
  • Familiarity with CNC mills and/or lathes; experience with 3-, 4-, or 5-axis machining is preferred.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
  • Basic understanding of machining tolerances, tooling, feeds, speeds, and work holding.
  • Ability to follow established programs and procedures while recognizing conditions that require assistance or escalation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
  • Ability to organize assigned work and meet production schedules.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with Machine Shop, Quality, Engineering, and Production personnel.
  • Dependable attendance and ability to work assigned schedules and overtime when required.
  • Ability to safely lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the bending, reaching, handling, and other physical activities normally associated with a manufacturing environment.
