The CNC Programmer 1 works closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to design, program, and machine the following: Vacuum forming molds, work holding fixtures, production piece parts, and prototypes.
Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
  • Assist in creating programs for 3-axis and 5-axis CNC routers using CAM software.
  • Design vacuum-forming molds and working holding fixtures using SolidWorks CAD software.
  • Participate in product development reviews to provide feedback on the manufacturability of parts and improve product design.
  • Work closely with CNC machine operator(s) to produce production parts that meet quality and design specifications.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the manufacturing floor, Design Engineering, and Quality departments on timelines, part designs, and quality control processes.
  • Create, control, and maintain documentation related to 3-Axis and 5-Axis CNC operations and jobs.
  • Manage CNC tooling inventory
  • Follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment. Wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and production areas as stated by company policy.

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
  • Required: CNC machining and programming experience
  • Required: Ability to learn quickly and a strong desire to tackle new challenges

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess these Qualifications:
  • Preferred: Design experience using CAD software
  • Preferred: Certified SolidWorks Associate certificate (CSWA)
  • Preferred: Programming experience using HSMWorks CAM software
  • Preferred: Associate degree in machining or related technical program

Pay: $25 to $32 hr.
