OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a CNC Operator II to operate both manual and CNC machines according to program and product specifications to produce small to medium sized components as either as a finished product or as part of another larger product to be assembled.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operates CNC machines to produce production parts and assemblies
  • Operates manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes
  • Positions parts in specified locations using a variety of fastening devices
  • Operates hand-held tools, electrical tools, and/or pneumatic tools
  • Operates lift equipment as needed
  • Uses precision measuring tools as required
  • Ability to recognize various material types used in department and adjust equipment if needed
  • Ability to recognize worn tooling and change in machine as required
  • Verifies accuracy of completed product or batch inspects
  • Reports defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions or completed products that are not in compliance with company and/or customer specifications to the Department Lead
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
  • Completes all necessary paperwork as required, including in process or carbon copy production sheets
  • Proficiently set up CNC machines by loading tools, fixtures, and materials. Verify machine settings and program parameters for accuracy

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven experience as a CNC Operator with at least 2-3 years of experience in CNC machining operations
  • Proficient in machine setup, tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments. Knowledge of G-code programming is a plus
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tool selection, and CNC machine operation
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evening and weekend shifts as required
  • Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high places, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and may require hearing protection in specific locations.
