Job description

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Start-up/Shutdown of CNC machine.
  2. Perform daily preventative maintenance of CNC machine.
  3. Ability to load and unload castings to the CNC fixtures.
  4. Inspect finished parts using calipers, gages and other measuring tools.
  5. Maintain and monitor robot operations.
  6. Document inspection results using computer software for quality control.
  7. Document finished parts quantity using MES software.
  8. Maintain CNC tooling by changing inserts, drill and taps and measuring offsets.
  9. Work closely with team members to resolve issues and improve processes.
  10. Keep a clean, well-organized machine area.
  11. Maintain a positive attitude and work in a team environment.
  12. Must be willing to work mandatory overtime when required.
  13. You will be expected to operate according to ISO 9001 requirements.
  14. You will be responsible for following safety guidelines, adhering to Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and using good safety judgment. You will be expected to report all unsafe activities and conditions to the Supervisor and/or Safety Representative.

Minimum Qualifications: Strong understanding of CNC machining processes. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining preferred

Experience/Skills/Abilities: Monitor CNC machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency in production. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Work Schedule/Hours: The working hours of the CNC Machine Operator may vary according to the needs of Liberty Pumps. However, they may need to attend meetings and seminars outside of the designated shift hours and work off shift hours to complete department goals and objectives including weekends.
