Position Summary

We are seeking a Multi-Axis Machine Operator & Programmer to support precision fabrication of aerospace and defense components. The growing Madison, AL based small business is seeking innovative individuals who want to join an up tempo, maker culture that proudly provides products and services to support the American Warfighter!

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with SURFCAM CAM software
  • Experience operating Mazak and/or Haas CNC machining centers
  • Experience with 5-axis machining operations
  • CAD experience (SolidWorks or similar)
  • Familiarity with aerospace or defense manufacturing environments
  • Experience with metrology equipment (CMM, digital gauging)

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrated experience operating and programming multi-axis CNC machining centers (3-axis minimum; 4/5-axis preferred)
  • Ability to develop and optimize CNC programs from engineering drawings and models
  • Proficiency in setup, tooling selection, fixturing, and work-holding for complex parts
  • Experience machining aluminum, steel, and other aerospace-grade alloys to tight tolerances
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Previous experience with hand and power tools
  • High School graduate or equivalent; technical/vocational training or associate degree preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods working in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs often and work standing up for a full 8-hour shift
