Job description

Swiss CNC OperatorAbout the Position

Rusco Manufacturing

is seeking an experienced Swiss CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating Swiss-style CNC lathes and producing high-precision components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating CNC Swiss machines, inspecting finished parts, making basic machine adjustments, and maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision components.
  • Load raw material and unload completed parts.
  • Monitor machine operation and production cycles.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Make basic offsets and machine adjustments as needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
  • Follow established setup sheets, tooling instructions, and quality procedures.
  • Identify tooling, machine, or quality issues and notify the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.
  • Follow all company quality, safety, and production procedures.
Qualifications

Required:

  • [1–3+]

    years of CNC machining/operator experience preferred.

  • Experience with Swiss CNC machines strongly preferred.

  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and blueprints.

  • Ability to use precision measuring tools.

  • Basic understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, feeds, and speeds.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Preferred:

  • Experience with [Citizen / Star / Tsugami / Tornos / Hanwha]

    Swiss machines.

  • Experience working with [Fanuc / Mitsubishi / Siemens]

    controls.

  • Experience machining [stainless steel / brass / aluminum / titanium / medical components]

  • Knowledge of GD&T.
  • Experience with SPC or other quality-control processes.
